Learning by doing

Dear parents and visitors,

On Thursday, 04.09.2025, our preschoolers were eagerly awaiting the guest teacher from the International Primary School Glauchau (IGS).
He comes to us every 14 days and, together with the group teacher, creates the first preschool content in a playful way.
This is how the preschoolers learn their first letters and numbers.

In the first lesson, the children counted from 1 to 10 in German and English. The children actively participated and laughed and giggled a lot. One child was surprised and asked "When do we start school?". The teacher replied: "We are already at school".
The children learned so playfully and with such curiosity that they didn't even realize they were already at school. The children had so much fun reciting the individual numbers and pointing with their fingers that they were unaware that they were already practising their first mathematical skills. The children also wanted to show their host teacher their English skills. So they started reciting the colors, e.g. red and green. Many children laughed and giggled with enthusiasm.

All the children are very proud of their first lesson. They have experienced that school can mean fun learning.
Our guest teacher and the children are really looking forward to learning lots of new things together.
