Cooperation

When children enter elementary school, a new phase of their lives begins. In order to provide the children with the best possible support during this time and to prepare them for their new tasks, close cooperation between our Kinderland Muldental and the Thomas Müntzer Elementary School is very important.

The cooperation ensures a seamless transition from school to after-school care and vice versa. Both sides are aware of the different working conditions and prerequisites and are prepared to treat each other with mutual respect.

Focus of the cooperation projects

  • Each year, the school appoints a "liaison teacher" (usually grade 1) who maintains regular contact with the after-school care center by means of a liaison booklet.
  • Coordination of dates and contents of parents' evenings, mutual participation possible
  • Networking of the homework assignment, precise specifications for the completion in the after-school care center and control in the classroom (teachers/ after-school care center teachers), (see appendix)
  • Arrangement of dates for school highlights, daycare highlights, trips, excursions, graduation parties, etc. in good time with the annual planning or as soon as known (school management/daycare management)
  • Participation of after-school teachers in excursions, final trips of classes possible
  • mutual information by telephone in case of short-term changes in the school (e.g. in case of cancellation) or in case of problems with the daily routine in the after-school care center
  • mutual information by telephone in case of occurrence of diseases according to the Infection Protection Act in the facility
  • Consultation between after-school and school management once a year and uncomplicated, flexible in case of current problems
